This butterfly design was created for my long time friend from Victoria, BC. The artist is Rick Adkins from Vancouver BC. My friend Judy Heide, also from Victoria, constructed the blazer, and I created the butterfly template and stitched the design onto the garment. Fred Davis provided this Beaver design to support me as I was just starting out with Haida Art Design. He drew the design on a paper bag. He told me “Not To Be Afraid”, as it is my first one too! I thought “This is Brilliant” for his first design intended for fabric art. I appreciated the gesture, as the design is so beautiful.
